Judith N. Black

Involved with EMDR since the early 90ies, Judith, a Clinical Psychologist spread her enthusiasm about it in the course of her presentations on Psychological Trauma, to MH Clinicians all over Quebec. Thanks to her hundreds of them were trained in EMDR as well a team of bilingual and Francophone Facilitators and Consultants.

Active in EMDR Canada since its inception, she has served as a Board Member for 9 years including a term as President. Not only did she Co- Chair the very successful 2008 Conference, but she has worked tirelessly to promote EMDR in the French and local community and to organize numerous advanced trainings which enable local EMDR practitioners to improve their skills. Indeed, her contribution to the evolution of EMDR in Quebec and in Canada is significant.

Judith, psychologue clinicienne, qui s’est impliquée avec le EMDR depuis le début des années 90 a communiqué son enthousiasme aux autres cliniciens à travers le Québec dans le cadre de ses présentations en intervention post traumatique. Grâce à elle de centaines de cliniciens anglophones et francophones ont été formés en EMDR ainsi qu’une équipe de facilitateurs et superviseurs bilingues et francophones.

Membre actif de EMDR Canada dès le début elle a servi sur le CA 9 ans y inclus comme présidente. Non seulement a-t-elle été co-présidente de la Conférence 2008, qui était une grande réussite, mais elle a travaillé fort pour promouvoir le EMDR au Québec. Les formations avancées qu’elle a organisées ont permis aux cliniciens de se tenir à jour. En fait, sa contribution à l’évolution de l’EMDR au Canada et au Québec est significative.
