Code of Conduct
Introduction
EMDR Canada essentially adopts our parent organization's (EMDRIA) Professional
Code of Conduct. All members of EMDR Canada, as a condition of membership,
subscribe to this Code of Conduct.
Code of Conduct
1. Members of EMDR Canada shall observe the professional and ethical
standards of their respective clinical professions.
2. Members shall remain in good standing with the professional
organization with which they are affiliated and regulatory board in
their jurisdiction and have no confirmed findings of illegal,
unprofessional or unethical conduct.
3. Members shall adhere to the code of ethics of their respective
clinical profession with regard to the advertising of services or
EMDR training programs.
Grievance Process
Membership in EMDR Canada is voluntary and not a requirement of
licensure. If you believe you have a grievance, other than a third-party
contract dispute, against EMDR Canada, or an EMDR Canada member,
contact the EMDR Canada President.
If, however, the complaint concerns a clinical ethics issue or general
clinician competency, contact the appropriate provincial regulatory
board directly.
